Here comes the rain ...

I thought we were so close to having a weekend filled with sunshine, but what with all the doom & gloom in the news about rising gas prices, falling house prices and bad weather forecast for the weekend I need an instant pick me up ... so I'm going to invest in a new piece of Jewellery ... just the tonic!

make-up melt down...

Did I miss something...did the Summer come and go last weekend? Was that it? Are we now just going to be left with slightly sticky, humid weather that is a) impossible to dress for and b) plays havoc with your skin and hair?!! Nightmare.

You know, guys just have no idea the trials and tribulations that us girls have to go through to look as fabulous as we do every day do they?! Tricky isn't it, you want something light-weight and sheer to your skin to let it breathe and keep it hydrated, but humidity can make some people's skin shine (and not in that "healthy glow" kinda way!) which makes you reach for the Finishing Powder to take the shine away...

My top tip to keep a natural look to your skin and not overly powdered, is to use a Powder Brush with a bronzer or a light blush and mix with your powder to sweep across your shiny bits - this keeps it looking softly sunkissed and a little more natural.

It's friday!

And it hasn't come a day too soon (particularly when some of us have been asking if it's Friday ... since Monday!) I'm looking out of the window and there looks like there might be some sunshine behind those big, ominous black clouds and apparantly Sunday's going to be the best day to get out on the beach/in the garden/down the park! Thank goodness for the fake tan earlier in the week - no scary white legs for me!

Our win with vie competition closed at midnight and we do have a winner for that all inclusive holiday to St Lucia - not that I'm jealous at all!
