The wait is over!

Quite frankly there's too much to talk about in just one post today, so I'm going to give you an opportunity to browse the site and fall in love with the rich purples, golds and blues that are so on trend this season. Eye, Eye! New Eyes live online

What a great way to start the week - firstly, it's a Tuesday so we're already that little bit closer to Friday, and secondly we've got a whole new array of fabulous Eye products that have just launched online! If you haven't yet had a chance to view ...

I am loving the new Eyeshadow Collections, four handy little palettes that allow you to mix and match a range of complimenting eyeshadow shades to create a look that's totally bespoke to you and at just £10, you get four eyeshadows presented in a handy little compact (with mirror for eye-catching perfect application) - a great way to give your make-up bag a boost during the credit crunch!

Now before you start thinking I'm a mystic meg type, no unfortunately I won't be able to tell you your future. I actually took a trip up to London yesterday with lots of Virgin Vie Managers and Head Office types to be part of the launch of our Autumn/Winter Collection 2008 and it's all now getting very exciting!

We're not quite ready to give you the full lowdown on this seasons story just yet ... but what I can tell you is that the main theme will be 'Renaissance' so think feminine, stylish and sophistication and you're on the right track. If you love the purples and petrol blue trends predicted to be huge for Autumn/Winter '08 you're going to love the new Jewellery collection and 'eye-eye' (bad pun - sorry!) you're going to love, love, love the innovative new products we're launching for your eyes. Your make-up bag won't know what's hit it!

But I've already told you too much! So for now I'm going to encourage you to keep your eyes on the site, and I'll leak you some more top secret information soon!

Exciting news blog fans! What's that I hear you ask - well, it's a way for you to rate our products out of five, give your personal feedback and get your valued thoughts and opinions out there in the wider spectrum. Good or bad, we want to hear about it and we know that our customers really value your opinions too.

Can it be true?

I've just checked the weather forecast for the weekend, and it's showing a big sunshine for Saturday (well for the time being anyway!) what a shocker! I barely recognised the picture of the sun shining - and just when I thought I'd be spending the weekend, unpacking my winter wardrobe and putting the summer wardrobe away for another year! So that's now leading me onto bigger and better plans for the long Bank Holiday weekend.

With a night planned out for Saturday I need to think about getting my skin in tip top condition - other than drinking lots of water and getting plenty of sleep, I've also been using our new Face The Day SPF 15 (because even during these gloomy days, a girl's gotta have a bit of SPF!) This light day lotion is perfect for applying under your day cream and is a great product for the summer months.

I recently gave my friend a pot of our Clear Thoughts Soothing Night Cream as a treat, and she's now a number one fan! With a texture and feel that's unlike any other night cream I've tried before, this cream is perfect for giving skin a good dose of moisture whilst you sleep off the night before. I've already been given my orders to invest in a new pot for her!

And finally, my all time skin care obsession is our Necker Gel, because it's never too early to start protecting the delicate skin on your neck. With a fragrance that's as good as turkish delight, this has got to be one of my favourite parts of my skin care regime!

What a weekend! With team GB winning five golds, three silvers and four bronzes, even I'm starting to get interested in the rowing/sailing/swimming etc! So to celebrate I'm bringing a bit of Olympic gold to the office today - we may not beat an olympic record but I might instigate some office olympics this afternoon, with the winner on the podium receiving our Gold Dust collection!

Trend alert! Red hot lips

I've just been flicking through this month's magazines (one of the joy's of sitting with the PR team!) and they're all talking about red lips being one of the big trends for the season. Never really out of fashion, red lipstick is not always the easiest shade to wear, so I've been on a bit of a fact finding mission this morning to find the ultimate wearable shade!

The answer comes in our Sensational Lip Colour in Juicy Sensation (see blob right!). This lipstick formulation contains Vitamin E so will protect and moisturise your lips, whilst making the product easy to apply! It's the perfect colour for winter and if you like to keep up with the trends, your make-up bag needs this!

We're all in a fluster

It's not long now until we launch our Autumn/Winter range, and as much as I'd like to spill the beans and tell you all about it, I'm not going to ... just yet! What I can tell you is that it's gorgeous, I've already got my eyes on lots of the make-up and I'll be off to see the 'real thing' at the press launch next week! At the moment, I'll just have to satisfy my curiosity with the catalogue which has been delivered for VVAH Head Office's pleasure today!

More black clouds outside the window and a miserable forecast for the week ahead makes me think it's almost time for a wardrobe changeover. But I'm going to keep positive, because I've been reliably informed that next weeks going to get better ... so here's to some sunshine in time for the bank holiday weekend! Like an Olympic champion we're glistening with gold this summer - so the sun may not be shining (I can't believe I just saw someone walk past with an umbrella - it's August!) but that doesn't stop the need for a bit of sparkle. Why? Because we need a pick me up during these dreary days!
