Bespoke Lipsticks ... lucky girls!

Imagine having your very own shade of lipstick designed for you by a top make up expert?

Well two very lucky ladies won a competition run by us have just that.

Louise Hallworth and Melanie Hayes were whisked away to Milan with VIE at home to visit a top cosmetics laboratory. They were given the full five star treatment and a tour of inspirational make up rooms normally only reserved for top make up companies. They also had a fantastic meal at a top Italian restaurant.

Their personalised lipsticks were presented to them at the end of the day.

Melanie said “this was such an amazing experience. We have had a fantastic time and now I have my very own shade of lipstick!”

A new name is coming!

We're calling it VIE day ... the 26th May is not just any old Tuesday for our head office. It may be the first day back in the office after bank holiday weekend, but for us next week sees us officially change our name to VIE at home. It's the same great products, same team here - we're just undergoing a mini facelift (without the surgery naturally.)

If you haven't yet had a chance to look at our new collection for Summer 2009 make sure you do. There's lots of lovely new things, guaranteed to brighten up your Monday.

Firm favourites in the office already is our new Body Nutrition range - full of skin care goodies it's been designed to treat your body on the outside, leaving you feeling amazing on the inside. We've also got some really lovely pieces of Jewellery that have just launched - I was lucky enough to trial the Olivia Cuff at Christmas time (so naturally I'm campaigning for its success!)

Hello Moscow, here are the results from the UK ...

It's Eurovision weekend and although we're feeling a bit sad about no longer getting to listen to our Terry discuss the outfits, songs and general 'over the topness' of the event, we're still looking forward to an inspiring evening of european culture (well, maybe not!)

The louder the clothes, the more bizarre the better we say! Hmmm wonder if any of the acts could use a spare make up artist? I know there's plenty of us here who would gladly volunteer to help out (although I'm not sure if our ranges would be quite loud enough for some of the acts).

Sadly it does seem that the glory days for the UK are over. But where do you think we'll score this year? Last years entry Andy Abramams reached a rather uninspiring last, so surely we'll do better this year ... what do you think?

What a day!

Phew ... I'm exhausted! But it's all worth it because we had our 'I Look Fab' photoshoot yesterday and it was such an amazing day.

Let me remind you of the background ... last summer we held a competition to find three 'real' models in association with lingerie and swimwear specialists BeCheeky. The idea was that all you lovely ladies uploaded photo's of yourself in your swimsuits and then we got the general public to vote for the winners. The three lucky winners were then selected to participate in a swimwear and beauty photoshoot - which took place yesterday.

The three winners - Sarah, Helen and Lisa were FANTASTIC! They took to the modelling floor like real naturals (move over Kate!) and we got some really beautiful photographs ... They are still with the studio at the moment, but as soon as we receive them we'll post some of them on the blog ... watch this space!

We won at the DSA awards!

Last night at the Direct Selling Association Awards we are delighted to announce that we not only won two Awards but we also had more nominations than any other Direct Seller. Here’s a list of our short listed superstars:

Gill Eagle, Pat Love and Sarah Fordham - Recruitment Excellence
Gillian Cargill - Retail Excellence
Sarah Cook - Support Award
Carolyn Passey - Innovation and Training Award
To be short listed is a massive achievement, but to win is fantastic!
We are delighted that Sarah Cook won the DSA Support Award - a fabulous achievement and she looked amazing too! We know that all our Customer Service staff are brilliant and really go the extra mile, so it was great to see Sarah get this recognition.
And secondly we won the much coveted award for Innovation and Training, led by the one and only Carolyn Passey. This is such a special award for us to win as it was awarded to us for the innovation around our new Commission Structure and for the School of Development Training Programme.
The industry has recognised that our new programmes are just what our Consultants and Managers need to grow their incomes and turn their dreams into reality. We can say for certain VIE at home was the talk of the town yesterday, with so many people wanting to know about all the fab new initiatives we have put in place. They have heard that they are really working and making such a difference to our business.
We had a great night up at Alton Towers and there will be pictures to follow. (Let’s just say that Ros’ room was very interesting!)

Summer is just around the corner - I know, I know you wouldn't believe it on a day like to today ... but watch this space because we're soooo close now to launching our Summer range of products and they're guaranteed to bring some summertime sparkle to May! And there's some really lovely things in there, I know you're going to love. Some gorgeous new pieces of Jewellery as well as our fabulous new Body Nutrition range and a very unique new skin care product.
