Another stressful day at SW19 ...

OK, so we're round two for Murray today and with the majority of British players now out of Wimbledon all hopes are pinned on the talented young Scot. Despite being seeded number three in the tournament, Monday's game still had us biting our nails ... and it's only round one! So to pace ourselves for the coming days, we're taking a bit of our own medicine and also trying out the Stress Buster Rollerball (see Monday's entry).

Visiting the supermarket last night, it would also appear that we're going to need to stop our stomachs from rumbling with all the strawberries and cream on offer (well I guess it just wouldn't be Wimbledon without them?) What's with the weather?

I know, I know - I do like to talk about the weather quite a lot (maybe I'm a frustrated weather forecaster?!) but today's weather is all over the place ... it's very difficult to know what to wear in the morning (no sadly, the picture to the left isn't me).

Anyway, you're obviously all feeling the same way too because last weeks email we sent out showed that you're all suddenly taking an interest in our fake tan products - hurrah! So you're ready to brave a bit of extra flesh too (but know we can't rely on the British summer to give us a tan.)

Sadly Necker Gel is going to be taken off our virtual shelves this Friday. There's a few reasons for this, one of them being that we need to look at the formulation and hopefully launch an even better product in 2010. If you're disappointed about it's departure, we understand. There's a few of us here at Head Office who are sad to see it go too and are desperately stock piling our favourite pink rosey gel!

So to the exciting bit ... And it's where you come in. We'd like to pull your feedback together about this product so we ensure the new Necker Gel is exactly what you want. It will only take you a few minutes, but your feedback will be really valuable to us.

Get your legs out!

It's June, so there's no excuses anymore. Yes it might be a little bit chilly today but we've got to brave getting the legs out for Summer ... after all we only get a few months a year to ditch the tights and trousers and embrace the season, so let's start now!

Yesterday's You Magazine (comes with The Sunday Mail) featured our Pin Perfection as a must have for this time of year, which is very nice of them! In an independant test, their readers said, "Sank in very easily for a very natural gold tan", "Didn't rub off at all" and "Might just convince me to wear skirts again." Exactly the kind of comments we love to hear!

We call this product invisible tights, because that's exactly how it looks ... give it a go and let's get those pins out ladies!

A day in the life ...

Hi! I'm Sophie Upham. I’m 15 and I go to Chichester High School For Girls. At the moment I’m doing work experience at VIE at home, I’m here for 2 weeks and I’m being given a chance to have a couple of days in some of the departments I’m most interested in.

On Monday I spent the day with the call centre, I really enjoyed listening into some of the phone calls and seeing what customers have to say and the questions they ask. On Tuesday I spent 1/2 the day with the design team and then the other 1/2 with reception. I loved being able to see what everyone in design does, it was completely fascinating, the staff are SO incredibly clever and also I really enjoyed being behind the reception. I got the opportunity to answer some phone calls and take notes for staff, and make copies and I learnt how to use the photocopier machine and the franking machine (although I did break the photocopier, whoops!) Then on Wednesday I spent the day with events team, it was really interesting to see how much preparation they have to do for meetings and other events, it was very interesting to help them out with their various jobs.

Today I’m with E-Commerce where I've been making a web survey about mens products and researching into mens products. I’ve really enjoyed myself so far, and I can’t wait for next week. Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming!

Trend alert! Coral

Last week it was royal blue, now it seems the hottest colour in fashion is coral. It's everywhere in the shops and is even being sported by a couple of the trendy types around the office today!

Despite the fact that it's Monday, it's sunny and we're all inside, the office is buzzing with excitement today.
