It's the witching hour!

OK so we're a day early but Halloween has arrived at VIE at home head office and there's various ghouls and ghosties dotted around the building today!

Lunchtime we're all going to celebrate together with a halloween feast, there's a pumpkin carving competition and general trick or treatery. Let's face it, we'll find any excuse to have a Party!

We've had a makeover

Well we always think it's time for a makeover! So that's we've done with our website - we've not made it so different you don't know where you've arrived - what we have done is made some tweaks, nips and tucks to make the website easier to navigate around, giving you more information about our award winning Skin Care, Make up, Aromatherapy, Jewellery and Homeware.

Have a look around and see what you think - next week we'll be launching a competition which involves you and your feedback on the new site ... so get those thinking caps on!

Is it a bird? Is it a plane?

It seems that our head office is full of superwomen. Not only have we got Jade, our resident Paula Radcliffe & marathon runner extraordinaire. We've now got our fearless Superkat!

What makes Kat so extrodinary? Well this weekend she faced her fear and fell through the sky at 13,000 feet, soaring at a rate of 140 mph to help raise money for the Spiros foundation. Kat and her friends have raised an incredible £2,000 to date, but if you'd like to donate you still can at her Just Giving page.

Following her skydive Kat said, "At approximately 4.15pm on Saturday 17 October I fell through the sky at a rate of 140 mph for the Spiros foundation, having raised a cool £2000 + for the Charity. I suddenly felt extremely pleased with myself and my nerves disappeared. it was a very emotional experience and I could not have done it without the continuous support of my friends at VIE at home."

She is a braver girl than most of us and certainly deserves a huge congratulations!

Our Clearance store continues to be a storming success with our customers - and with lots of new items recently added (many at £5 & Under) it's the easiest (and most pocket-friendly) way to give yourself a lift on a Monday!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month

So if you've noticed a deluge of pink recently , that's why.

VIE at home has again this year chosen to support the Breast Cancer Care charity through the sales of our Happy Hearts Necklace. £3 from the sale of one of these gets paid to directly to Breast Cancer Care (registered charity number 1017658). In total we hope to raise £21,000 from the sales of this necklace.

What a gorgeous way to support this worthy cause - so wear your heart on your sleeve (or round your neck in this case)

Oh what a night we had!

Our Gala Dinner at the very plush Avenue on St James, just past the Ritz, was a very lovely evening. In true VIE at home style, our High Flyers turned on the glamour, and their partners did too! Our special guest Mark Ramprakash (winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2006) was in fine form on the dance floor, and was a very lovely guy chatting to everyone about cricket and dancing - what a combination. Can't wait to see the photos, as everyone was in great spirits.

The evening started with cocktails, champagne and delicious appetisers (to help soak up the alcohol!), with photos with Mark. We then gave toasts to our High Flyers and their partners who are so key in their success. We presented to our achievers for 2 years a very luxurious Fortnum and Mason Champagne and Chocolate Hamper, in the famous pale blue colour ( I want the box please!), and we then tucked into a gorgeous 4 course meal with wines from South Africa, as we are in Cape Town mode!

Then it was on to dancing … when I left at just after midnight, the party was in full flow, with the dance floor full to bursting. I'm sure there were a few sore heads in the morning, but also sore faces from smiling and laughing so much! Thank you to everyone who came last night, for a fab evening with very happy memories.

Next VIE event is the first Leadership Dinner on the 7th November at the St Pierre Marriott…….our next one after this is into qualification now, so Consultants and Managers - check out what you have to do to come and join the fun!

Grace is back!

Grace, our International Marketing Manager, returned from Lebanon last week. After a few days rest, she's now had a chance to give you an update on her amazing time there,

"Wow! What an amazing trip to our Lebanese launch. Lebanese Consultants really do know how to Party - They were dancing in the aisles and even in the restaurant after the event. The new catalogue was received really positively and the buzz and excitement about all the new initiatives and products was infectious. I am certain this excitement will turn into strong activity and sales . Below are some of my pictures taken at the event, which should give you a snapshot of the day.
