Nail Varnish is the perfect way to give you an instant pick me up.  Match your nail colour to your outfit or mix it up with a clashing colour if you're feeling a bit more outrageous! 

How to pick your nail varnish shade: Unlike make-up, there are not rules when it comes to choosing a Nail Varnish.  You can pick any nail varnish shade in any formulation – your skin tone doesn't make a difference, so pick a nail varnish you love!

1 Shape nails:  Remove any old nail varnish and then using a nail file, file your nails with smooth, long strokes from one edge to the centre and then from the other edge back to the centre. To determine the best shape for your nails, look at the natural shape of your nail bed.

• If you have oval cuticles, round your tips
• If you have flat cuticles, square your tips
• If your nail bed is wide and slightly curved at the sides, shape your tips flat on the top and curved at the sides. This shape will suit most people.   

2. Apply base: For long lasting Nail Varnish prime nails with our a base product like our Double Act Protecting Base & Top Coat.  This will help to protect your nails (and will also come in handy at the end of your manicure!)

3. Roll your Nail Varnish! Roll the Nail Varnish bottle between your palms to mix the colour. Do not shake as this will whip bubbles into the formula, which can lead to chipping when your Nail Varnish is dry.

4. Start applying: Paint a line of Nail Varnish down the middle of the nail, leaving a little space at the base of the nail. Then fill out the nail by painting a band on each side of the centre line. Allow polish to dry

5. Apply second coat: Add a second coat of Nail Varnish using the same technique.  This will help intensify your Nail Varnish and increase it's longevity.

6. Add Top Nail Varnish Coat: Adding a topcoat of Nail Varnish will help to protect your new nail varnish and give it a smooth, glossy finish.
